All About Palm Trees and 90 Degrees

The Bahamas has always been my favourite go to places. Recently in March, I had the opportunity to visit the Bahamas once again for the first time in 6 years. If you’re looking for a fun getaway trip, Bahamas is definitely something to keep in mind. The Atlantis is a resort I’ve always loved since I was a little girl. I was always occupied and having fun. There are so many things you could do! First thing I did when I got there was treat myself to a piña colada. For a person coming from snow to sunshine, it was well deserved

looks delicious, right? This vacation was much needed, I did activities like, snorkelling, paddle boating, dolphin swimming, Aquaventure water park, and sunset watching. Snorkelling was my favourite, it was my first time going so far into the ocean and actually seeing what was under me. It was beautiful.

If you’re ever somewhere tropical, I recommend taking the time to watch the sunset. There’s nothing more beautiful than watching the sunset on the beach. It was worth every minute. Just watching the waves come rolling onto shore as the sky is constantly changing colour made me feel so relaxed. Especially if you’re watching from the Cove beach. There was not a sunset or sunrise that I missed during my time spent in the Bahamas.

Top Things to Do in the Bahamas:

Dolphin Swimming: This was also one of the best experiences in my life. The dolphins were super friendly  and put on a show. This is something I recommend doing with either your family or friends.

Snorkelling: theres a whole new world in the ocean, seeing different fish and reefs was just breath taking. This is also an activity I recommend you do with friends or family. Definitely worth the experience.

Visit the Flea Market: Every time I visit the Bahamas, I ALWAYS visit the flea market. Its my favourite. I love to see the different arts and crafts that are created, buying sweaters and t-shirts and jewelry.

Go to a Private Island: If you can, book in advance to have someone take you to a private island for a day. Its nice to have a beach to yourself with nobody running around and disrupting your relaxing time.

Visit Fish Fry: Arawak Cay which is also known as Fish Fry, located in Nassau. You could have a variety of foods to eat, like fresh seafood, conch salad, Caribbean rice and more!

These are activities that do not have to be done at the Atlantis. Atlantis can be a little bit pricey, however, the Aquaventure water park and activities are still available within the resort.

Very Berry Fruit Bowl

FullSizeRender.jpg

As spring is approaching my favourite thing to have for breakfast is a fruit smoothie or fruit bowl. Fruit bowls are pretty much the same concept, however, you could add what ever kind of fruit toppings you’d like.

Normally, I like to add a little bit of fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and chia seeds. But today, I kept it simple!

What you need:

-1/3 cup of fresh berries or frozen berries (I used frozen)

*you could also add whatever fruits you’d like*

-1/4 cup of milk (you could use soy milk, almond milk, whatever you like)

-1/4 ice

-a little bit of honey <—you guys could try it and see how much honey you’d like to add, but I normally do a tablespoon

-Chia seeds

blend everything together and voila! I hope you guys enjoy this recipe, its delicious!
